Ontario: Became as part of Canada in 1867. Its capital city is Toronto. It also has Canada’s Capital city. The Second largest Province.
Quebec: Became as part of Canada in 1867. Its capital is Quebec City. It is mainly a French speaking Province. The largest Province.
Nova Scotia: Became as part of Canada in 1867. Its capital is Halifax. It is the second smallest Province.
New Brunswick: Became a Province in 1867. Its capital is Fredericton .It is one of the four Atlantic Provinces in Canada.
North West Territory: Became a territory in 1870.Its capital is Yellowknife. The First Territory to be part of Canada. The Second largest Territory in Canada.
Alberta: Became as part of Canada in 1905. Its capital is Edmonton. It is one of the three Prairie Provinces. Fourth largest province.
British Colombia: Became a province in 1871.Its capital is Victoria. It has the third largest city (Vancouver). Has the largest Chinese community.
Prince Edward Island: Became a Province in 1873. Its capital is Charlottetown. It is an Island. It is the smallest Province in Canada.
Manitoba: Became a Province in 1870.Its capital is Winnipeg. It is one of the three Prairie Provinces in Canada.
Newfoundland: Became a province in 1949.Its capital is St. John’s. It is one of the four at
Atlantic Province. Thousands of smaller islands are also included.
Nunavut: Became a Territory in 1999. Its Capital is Iquilut. It is the largest Territory. It has one fifth of Canada.
Saskatchewan: Became a Province in 1905. Its capital is Regina. It is located in the prairie region.
Yukon Territory: Its capital is Whitehorse. It is the smallest territory in Canada. The population is 31,587 (2005)
